Chai - The traditional Indian tea

India's most popular drink, for both Indians and foreigners! Rain or shine (even over 45 degrees) there he is, in the late afternoon.

Each Indian family prepares their chai in a different way and there are countless recipes out there.

But here at Viajando Fácil we are going to share a recipe with you that has already been tested and approved by many. Remembering that this recipe is for 2 people.

Ingredients:

- 1 glass of milk

- 1 glass of water

- 2 black tea bags

- 1 tablespoon of sugar

- 2 small slices of ginger (about half a cm)

Options:

- 1 cinnamon bark

- 2 open cardamoms

- 2 cloves of India

How to make:

Place all ingredients except black tea in a saucepan and bring to medium heat. As soon as it starts to boil, place the sachets and turn off the heat. Cover and leave to infuse for 5 minutes. After this time, strain the tea and serve with butter cookies!
